Secrets Behind Health and Well-Being Part 2 - Group Talk - Week Commencing 13th November 2023.


This week with in Group we cooked up a storm in the Soup Maker, making Moroccan Chickpea Soup from Liana Green - Soup Maker Recipe Book.


Nutrition:


Achieving 30 different plants a week is easy when you plan. This soup is quick and easy, however it contains 12 different plants.

  • Onion

  • Garlic

  • Carrots

  • Celery

  • Chickpeas

  • Tomatoes

  • Cumin

  • Cinnamon

  • Paprika

  • Cayenne Pepper

  • Pepper

  • Mint


Adding all the ingredients to the soup maker means the soup will be ready to go in just 21 minutes, and reaching 12 of your 30 plants in the week.

Morrocan Chickpea:



Ingredients

  • 1 Onion, chopped

  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 medium Carrots (approx 100g), Chopped

  • 1 Celery stick, chopped

  • 1 400g Tin Chickpeas, (rinsed and drained)

  • 1 400g tin chopped Tomatoes

  • 1/2 tsp Cumin (I used 1/4tsp)

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (I used 1/4tsp)

  • 1/2 tsp Paprika (I used 1/4tsp)

  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper (I used 1/4tsp)

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 1 Vegetable stock cube/pot

  • Fresh Mint leaves, chopped (optional for garnish)


Directions

  1. Optionally saute the onion and garlic.

  2. Add all the ingredients to the soup maker jug.

  3. Add water up to the line and stir everything together.

  4. Put the lid on the soup maker and set off on smooth.

  5. Season according to taste.
