Breakfast literally means 'to Break the Fast' It is the first meal of the day after fasting/not eating overnight.
There is no specific timings on when to Break the Fast, this is totally up to personal preference.
Breakfast ideas are very different around the world and most countries have their own favourites, which have changed due to the mix of cultures.
USA - All American Breakfast including Pancakes
Turkey - Kahu alti - bread, soft/creamy cheeses, olive, tomatoes, cucumber, spicy Turkish sausages, jam, marmalades and honey.
Costa Rica - Gallo Pinto - Stir-fried rice and bean dish.
Switzerland - Muesli
Malaysia - Nasi Lemak - wrapped traditionally in a banana leaf, rich, sweet coconut rice, garnished with anchovies, cucumber, peanuts, eggs and hot sauce.
Australia - coffee, fruit, muesli or a full English.
China - Dim Sum - Steamed buns, dumplings, rice noodle rolls, sticky coated chicken, noodle soup and fried vegetables
Sweden, Denmark & Norway - Open - faced sandwich - using a range of spreads, soft cheeses, mayo, jams loaded with cured fish, cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables and/or boiled eggs.
France, Spain & Italy - Coffee and a pastry or toast
United Kingdom - Full English or Oats
Greece - Yoghurt with nuts & honey
North Africa - Shakshuka - Poached eggs in chunky tomatoes, peppers, spinach & Chilli's

Breakfast ideas for on the go:
Overnight Oats
40g Rolled Oats
200g Fage Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
200g Frozen Berries
*Mix the Oats and Yoghurt together.
*Add half the fruit to you Jar/tub then half the Yoghurt/Oat mix
*Repeat
*Then pop in the fridge and leave overnight.
Weetabix Cheesecake
2 x Weetabix
100ml Skimmed Milk
150g Fage Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
Your Choice of Fruit
* Breakup the Weetabix in a takeaway tub, add milk, once soaked spread level.
*Top Weetabix base with Yoghurt.
*Top the Yoghurt with your choice of fruit.
Baked Blueberry Oats
40g Oats
30g Fage Fat Free Greek Yoghurt
10g Rowse Greek Honey
1 Egg
10g Vanilla Extract
50g Blueberries
5g Baking Powder
* Mix together all of the ingredients in a small oven-proof dish, and leave for a couple of minutes to let the baking powder starting working.
*Bake at 180oC for 20 minutes until golden brown.
* Serve warm with Yoghurt and Fruit.
