💔 A little bit from the heart…
I find it incredibly hard to close a group. Every time I have to make this decision, I feel as though I’m failing my members. But the truth is, I’m not just letting go of members… I’m saying goodbye to dear friends I’ve made along the way. ❤️
Please believe me when I say I have genuinely tried everything I can think of to bring new members through the door. I’ve used social media, stood at car boot sales, handed out leaflets at markets, and placed flyers wherever I can — in meeting places, coffee shops, hairdressers and medical practices. I have put my heart and soul into trying to keep my groups going.
But the reality is that, in such a rural area, it is becoming increasingly difficult to compete with the big corporate businesses and their resources. As an independent consultant, I simply don’t have the same reach or advertising power, no matter how hard I try.
And that’s the part that hurts the most. Because for me, this has never just been about numbers. It’s about people. It’s about the friendships we build, the laughs we share, the support we give each other, and being there for one another through the good days and the not-so-good ones.
When I look around my groups, I don’t just see members. I see wonderful people who have become part of my life, and that is what makes these decisions so heartbreaking.
Please know that closing a group is never a decision I take lightly. It certainly isn’t because I don’t care, or because I haven’t tried hard enough. Sometimes, despite giving everything you have, things just don’t work out the way you hoped.
I will continue to do everything I can to keep my remaining groups thriving, because I love what I do and I love the people I do it for. ❤️
If you attend one of my groups, please know how much you mean to me. Your support, your loyalty and your friendship mean more than you will ever realise.
I may run weight-loss groups, but the friendships and connections we make along the way are worth so much more than a number on the scales. ❤️
Thank you for being part of my journey, for supporting me, and for reminding me why I do what I do.
With love and a very heavy heart,
Hannah ❤️
